There are 18 drying chambers available for the drying of the pallet’s wood using direct gas heating in which some 18,000 pallets can be dried in each drying process. The exact drying time depends on the remaining moisture of the wood, which is determined through several measuring sensors hammered into the wood.

The drying is effected at high temperatures according to strict specifications. Through the low amount of remaining moisture of less than 22 percent, the pallets are food safe and free from moulding. In addition, no moisture can permeate the packaging stored on the pallets.
